The following calls are currently running:

  1. Short-Term Fellowships 2023
    launch: Monday 22nd August 2022 |
    FEBS Short-Term Fellowships are for short-term visits (no longer than two or, in exceptional cases, three months), for the purpose of scientific collaboration, advanced training or employing techniques not available at the usual place of work.
  2. Ukrainian Short-Term Fellowships 2023
    launch: Monday 22nd August 2022 |
    Ukrainian Short-Term Fellowships are specifically for active molecular life scientists who are resident in Ukraine at the point of application, or displaced from Ukraine as a result of war in the country. These Fellowships are for short-term visits to a host laboratory for a period of up to 4 months and have a fixed monetary value of €12,000 to use for travel to the host laboratory and living subsistence for the duration of the Fellowship.
  3. Collaborative Developmental Scholarships 2023
    launch: Monday 22nd August 2022 |
    Collaborative Developmental Scholarships (CDS) are for the exclusive benefit of scientists working in Armenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Morocco, Serbia, Tunisia or Ukraine, who are either PhD holders or PhD students engaged in research for a doctoral thesis and who need to visit a well-funded laboratory elsewhere in Europe for the purpose of carrying out experimental procedures that would be impossible in their home country because of a lack of resources.
  4. FEBS Excellence Awards Spring 2022
    launch: Friday 1st April 2022 |
    closing: Friday 1st July 2022
    FEBS has designed the FEBS Excellence Awards to financially support early career scientists in countries where FEBS Constituent Societies are established. The Award must be used exclusively to purchase small equipment (for a maximum of 15,000 €) and consumables related to the project. Salaries, stipendia and overheads cannot be paid for by the Award.
    These Awards are granted for three years.
  5. Summer Fellowships 2022
    launch: Tuesday 1st February 2022 |
    closing: Sunday 1st May 2022
    FEBS Summer Fellowships are awarded to young promising students in a FEBS country wishing to gain practical scientific experience in an institution located in another country within the FEBS area.
