Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for a FEBS Booster Fund you must pass all the following eligibility requirements:
- You have obtained your PhD up to 6 (six) years prior to the submission of your Project Proposal to FEBS, i.e. in 2018.

If more than six years have elapsed since being awarded your PhD, you are unlikely to be considered unless there are duly justified career breaks, such as compulsory national service or parental leave (18 months per child).
If you feel you have strong mitigating circumstances, please complete the application form and the system will provide you with the facility to provide your explanation on the Eligibility Details page.
- Your work is aimed at furthering the molecular life sciences.
- You are a member of a FEBS Constituent Society.
- Your laboratory is established in a Host Institution in a FEBS member country.

You must:
- be newly independent researchers / early principal investigators (PIs) with the ability to recruit and to be registered as a supervisor of PhD students and research assistants;
- take the leading role of the project;
- have preferably undertaken your PhD or postdoc in different Institutes;
- be within 6 years from being awarded their PhD and be in their first independent academic / research post. Some discretion will be made for career breaks;
- be employed in a salaried capacity by the Host Institution under a contract for at least the period covering the one-year duration of the Award;
- You have not been the recipient of a FEBS Long-Term Fellowship in the same Host Institution as that in the application for the FEBS Booster Fund.
