Back Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a Long-Term Fellowship you must pass all the following eligibility requirements:

  1. You have been awarded a PhD.
    You will be awarded a PhD by 31 December 2020.
  2. Your work is aimed at furthering the science of biochemistry and molecular biology.
  3. You are a member of a FEBS Constituent Society.
  4. You are working in a laboratory in a FEBS member country.
  5. You are seeking to work in a laboratory in a different FEBS member country.
  6. You have not been working in the host laboratory for more than 9 months.
  7. You have not been the recipient of a FEBS Short-Term Fellowship or FEBS Collaborative Developmental Scholarship during the preceding 12 months if the host laboratory is to be the same.
  8. You have never been the recipient of a FEBS Long-Term Fellowship.
  9. You have completed less than three years of post-doctoral experience.
  10. If more than three years have passed since being awarded your PhD, you are unlikely to be considered unless there are duly justified career breaks, such as compulsory national service and parental leave.
