Back Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a Collaborative Developmental Scholarship you must pass all the following eligibility requirements:

  1. You are currently engaged in research for a doctoral thesis.
    OR
    You already hold a PhD and;
    you have at least one published paper in an international scientific journal (cited in Scopus) and;
    you obtained your PhD less than six years ago (at the point of applying) or will be less than 40 years of age on the 31 December 2023.
  2. You are currently working in a laboratory in one of these countries: Armenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Morocco, Serbia, Tunisia or Ukraine.
  3. Your work is aimed at furthering the science of biochemistry and molecular biology.
  4. You are a member of a FEBS Constituent Society.
  5. You are seeking for a stay in a well-funded laboratory elsewhere in Europe (in a different FEBS member country).
  6. You have previously not been awarded more than one FEBS Collaborative Developmental Scholarship or FEBS Summer Fellowship and at least one year has passed since completion of that Scholarship/Fellowship.
